Management Team

CEO - Tom Manwaring 

Location: Melbourne 

Before joining ETG, Tom was with Cathay Pacific Airways for 29 years. He was initially based in Australia and thereafter in Hong Kong. During this time, Tom held various senior sales, marketing and management roles, including the role of Global Tactical Marketing Manager. He returned to Australia in 2000 to take up the role of Managing Director of Orient Express Travel. In November 2003 Tom and his wife Julie, became sole proprietors of the Group. As CEO, he is working with his team to develop ETG into a major travel provider in Australia for both outbound and inbound travel

 

Executive General Manager - Ari Magoutis 

Location: Melbourne 
Prior to joining ETG in February 2010, Ari spent 7 years with Jetset Travelworld Group in senior IT roles, most recently as Group IT Manager. His responsibilities included the delivery of enterprise travel systems, and formulating and leading the retail e-commerce strategy for the group. Prior to JTG, he worked in the Finance and IT Departments of Consolidated Travel Group. Ari has a Bachelor of Economics (BEc) and Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.

 


Air Sales & Operations Management

General Manager - Air Sales & Operations - Vlado Ristevski

Location: Melbourne

Vlado Joined the  ETG group in June 2019 to the newly created position General Manager Air Sales & Operations after having spent 29 years at Helloworld subsidiary Air Tickets.

Vlado has extensive experience in the Consolidation sector with a strong and thorough understanding of Airline product,  Air fare distribution, Ticketing platforms, Operational process, Yield & Revenue management,  Vlado has held various management roles and lead teams in both Sales and Operations.         

 

Agency Support Centre Manager - Karina Hill

Location: Melbourne 
Since joining the Company in our Sydney office in 2005, Karina has since worked in different areas of the business, including fares, ticketing and focusing on growing the Independent Travel Group in QLD. Most recently, Karina has transitioned to Head Office in Melbourne to head up the Agency Support Centre. Having been recognised twice as a finalist at NTIA for Sales Executive of the Year, Karina's zest for what she does is evident as she goes out of the way to help every agent succeed.

 

 

National Operations Manager - Rodney West

Location: Sydney 

Rodney joined ETG, in September 2018. Prior to this, he was Product Operations Manager at Skiddoo, for 7 years, and was there from their launch. He oversaw a team of over 30 staff in the Call Centre, Ticketing, and Fraud Teams.

Before Skiddoo, Rodney has had 14 years experience with various airlines, at World Aviation Systems. Initially in Reservations/Ticketing then progressing to Marketing/Product Development and was involved in the launch into the Australian market of carriers such as Gulf Air, Hawaiian Airlines, and SriLankan Airlines.


Commercial Management

General Manager Commercial - Quynh Giang

Location: Melbourne
Quynh joined ETG in March 1996 as Assistant Accountant after completing his Bachelor of Business Accounting. He later became Group Finance Manager, and was appointed General Manager in December 2004. Taking up this role he successfully opened the Adelaide, and not long later,  Perth offices giving our national footprint.  Quynh’s main area of responsibility now is the Express Ticketing Division and Airlines commercial. He has been responsible for the implementation of the fully automated ticketing system and is focused on developing preferred products and services for the Select Travel Group.

 

Airline & Operations Support Manager - Mohammad Nasiry

Location: Sydney
Mohammad joined Express Travel Group in 2010 with over 17 years’ experience within the travel industry. He brings with him valuable consolidation, operation airline & commercial experience.  Mohammad is responsible for the national commercial agreements with airlines & supporting the operations team within Express Ticketing

 


Finance Management

Chief Financial Officer - David Cincotta

Location: Melbourne
David joined ETG in 2017 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining David spent 9 years at Flight Centre Travel Group as the Commercial Leader of VIC/TAS/SA. He held numerous roles in his time there working in both the Leisure and Corporate Divisions. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance & Marketing) and a Master of Accounting. David oversees the entire finance function and is responsible for the financial well-being of the group.

 

Financial Controller - Duncan Adams

Location: Melbourne 
Duncan Adams joined ETG in February 2007 as Company Accountant. He has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and has maintained the Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification since 1994. Duncan has worked for national retail and wholesale businesses over the past fifteen years as an accountant and financial controller

 


IT Management

IT Manager - Anthony Lau

Location: Melbourne

Anthony joined ETG in March 2005 as a contractor and was appointed IT Manager in September 2006. Anthony has over 17 years experience in enterprise level IT integration and project management. His main area of responsibility is managing and further developing computer systems/network infrastructure, and delivering online travel portal systems within ETG. Anthony has a Bachelor of Computer Science and Master of Business Systems degree at Monash University.

 


Product & Events Management

Head of Product & Events - Amber Kelly

Location: Melbourne 
Amber joined Express Travel Group in 2015 in the newly created role of Product Manager and undertook to grow and develop our preferred supplier partnerships. In 2016, the Product department, under Amber’s leadership, expanded to encompass the Express Travel Group events division, overseeing the annual program of conferences and events. Prior to joining ETG, Amber held management positions at retail group STA Travel, as well as Product Management roles in the wholesale travel sector.


Sales & Marketing Management

General Manager - Sales & Marketing - Jason Aghan 

Location: Melbourne 

Jason joined the ETG Group in November 2018 having had a long career at Cathay Pacific Airways. Jason held various Management roles within CX ranging from Management of the Airlines National Agency contracting, along with heading up the Victorian Sales team. Most recently he was responsible for the Airlines National Corporate Management involving both Global and National dealings.  

Jason has extensive experience in leading successful teams and Sales negotiation both on State and National levels.  

 

 

Market Development Manager Australia - Paul Pearman 

Location: Melbourne 
Paul joined italktravel as their National Business Manager in November of 2017.  A retail expert having pursued his passion for people and connection with a leading Travel Retailer since 2005. Paul has lead travel retail teams of up to 14 people, and regions of up to 110 people.  Paul values connection within teams and is an advocate for a consistent customer experience.

 

italktravel National Franchise Manager - Hamish McCracken

Location: Sydney

Hamish joined ETG as a Network Manager in May 2014. He has a wealth of experience in franchising and small business, having worked in the travel industry since 2000, and understands the market well. In previous roles Hamish worked as a Business Manager with a leading travel retail franchise and also with a top tier airline for 8 years in a similar capacity. He is distinguished by his professional enthusiasm for business and his commitment to meeting customer and market demands.

 

Head of Marketing - Nicole Henry

Location: Melbourne 
Nicole joined ETG in June 2018 following four years as Trade Marketing Manager with Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours. With over 17 years of marketing experience Nicole has held marketing, communications and product roles in Australia, UK and Canada across multiple industries including travel, finance, beauty and the luxury sector. With a strategic and growth mindset, Nicole has in-depth experience of both online and offline marketing channels across B2B, B2C and B2B2C environments.


People & Training 

Manager: People & Training  - Alisha Dopper 

Location: Melbourne 

Having worked in travel in both the UK and Australia since 2002, Alisha’s experience in the travel industry expands across both retail and wholesale. Alisha joined Express Travel Group in 2017 after spending 7 years with the APT Travel Group as Inside Sales Manager. Holding a Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management), Alisha has extensive experience in sales, operations, marketing, communications, team structures, staff training and leading teams.
